Most Jeju itineraries online were written after one trip, often in a different season. The island in November is its own thing: the pampas grass on the volcanic hills is still silver, the first camellias are opening, the tangerine harvest is on, and the crowds of the autumn holidays have gone home.
The problem is that Jeju looks small on a map and is not small on a bus. Mix the east and west coasts in one day and you lose half of it in transit. This route splits the island into four zones, one per day, so you never cross it twice.
Checked on October 16–18, 2026. Fees and timetables change; each section says what to confirm before you go.
Why November works on Jeju
November sits between the autumn peak and the winter holidays, so flights from Seoul and hotel rates usually drop a step. Daytime temperatures are typically in the mid-teens Celsius, which is good walking weather.
Three things overlap this month. The pampas grass on Saebyeol Oreum is usually at its best from mid-October to mid-November. Camellia Hill’s winter camellias start opening from mid-November and peak in December. And tangerine farms run pick-your-own sessions through the harvest season.
Two things to plan around: the wind, and the early sunset. The sun sets around 5:30 pm, and the coast can feel much colder than the number on your weather app. Put outdoor stops in the morning and early afternoon, and keep an indoor option for the evening.
Getting to Jeju and getting around
Flights. Domestic flights from Seoul Gimpo take a little over an hour and run all day. Jeju also has direct international flights from several Asian cities. Jeju has its own visa-free entry program for many nationalities arriving directly on an international flight, but rules differ from mainland Korea and change over time, so check the Korean immigration or embassy site for your passport before booking. Many visitors are also exempt from K-ETA until December 31, 2026; check whether yours is.
Buses. Jeju’s buses are card-only (cash was phased out in October 2024), so get a T-money card before you arrive or at a convenience store. The express buses (the red ones) cover the big coastal links. On a bus-only trip, plan two main stops per day, not four.
Maps. Google Maps does not give full walking or driving directions in Korea. Use Naver Map or KakaoMap; both have English menus and show live bus arrivals.
Taxis. For Saebyeol Oreum and 1100 Highland, a taxi or a day tour is far easier than the bus. Jeju Airport’s own estimate for a taxi to Seongsan is about 100 minutes and 45,000 won, which gives a sense of the island’s real size.
The 4-day route at a glance

The order — east, northwest, southwest, Seogwipo — means you head straight east from the airport on day one, and on the last day you are about an hour from the airport in Seogwipo. If you have a rental car you can add hidden beaches and extra oreum (volcanic cones). If you do not, the same skeleton works with fewer stops per day.
Day 1 — The east coast
Start at Seongsan Ilchulbong, the tuff cone on the island’s eastern tip. Arrive before 10 am and the stairs are quiet. From the top, the view opens toward Udo island, and in November’s clearer air you can see further than in summer. Adult admission has been 5,000 won; confirm on Visit Jeju before you go. Bring a hood rather than a hat — the wind at the top is strong.
Walk down to Gwangchigi Beach, where green moss covers black volcanic rock at low tide. Morning light is best here. After lunch, walk the coastal path at Seopjikoji.

In the afternoon, head inland to Snoopy Garden. It is one of the few places on the east side that works for both adults and children, and about half of it is indoors, which matters on a windy November afternoon. The outdoor garden still has pampas grass and autumn colour this month.
Day 2 — The northwest
Morning is for Saebyeol Oreum, the best pampas grass hill on Jeju in November. The ridge walk takes about 40 minutes round trip. With the sun behind you the grass looks silver; looking into the light it turns gold. When the wind runs across the slope it sounds like surf.

In the afternoon, go to 9.81 Park near Aewol, a gravity-racing kart park on a hillside. It is popular with adults as much as kids. Strong wind can change operations, so check the cancellation policy when you book.
Finish at Arte Museum Jeju, an immersive media-art space in a former warehouse. With sunset around 5:30 pm, November evenings are long, and this is a good way to use one regardless of weather.
Day 3 — The southwest
Start at Hyeopjae Beach on the west coast. Biyangdo island floats on the horizon, the sand is white and the water is clear. It is too cold to swim in November, but on a weekday morning you may have long stretches of it to yourself. Bring a windbreaker.
Around lunchtime, stop at a tangerine farm in the Andeok or Seogwipo area. Many farms run pick-your-own sessions in season and you pay on site, so prices vary farm by farm. The smell when you snip the stem is the smell of a Jeju winter.

In the afternoon, go to Camellia Hill. The winter camellias start opening from mid-November; by late November there are pink petals on the paths, and the peak is in December. Admission has been listed at around 10,000–12,000 won for adults; check the official site for the current fee and seasonal hours.
Day 4 — Seogwipo and the flight home
Drive or take a taxi up to 1100 Highland in the morning. In late November there can be frost on the wetland boardwalk. It is about 30 minutes from Seogwipo.
Come down to Cheonjiyeon Falls for an easy walk, then eat at Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market — gogi-guksu (pork noodle soup) or tangerine snacks. Seogwipo to the airport is about an hour; leave the market at least two and a half hours before your flight.
Where to stay
Because the route moves east to west, changing base once makes sense: one night in Seongsan or Jeju City, two nights in Aewol or Jungmun, and the last night in Seogwipo. If you prefer not to move, base yourself in Jungmun and use taxis for the east-side day.
Lotte Hotel Jeju sits on the sea in Jungmun and is a good choice for a resort night in the middle of the trip. November rates are usually lower than in the autumn peak.
On a deal right now (checked October 18, 2026): for the first night in Jeju City, Ramada by Wyndham Jeju City Hall was listed on Trip.com at USD 109 instead of USD 227 (−51%), rated 8.3/10 from 1,017 guest reviews. Deals change daily, so check the current rate.
November weather can change plans at short notice, so choose rates with free cancellation where you can.
Passes or single tickets?
If you plan to visit several paid attractions over two or more days, a Jeju tour pass that bundles them can be cheaper than single tickets. If you only want Snoopy Garden and Camellia Hill, single tickets are usually the better deal. Write your list first, then compare it with what the pass includes.
Budget

The biggest variable is accommodation. Flights from Seoul on weekday mornings in November are often the cheapest of the year, so it is worth watching fares about two months out.
Booking checklist
- Flights: watch fares two months out; weekday early and late departures are cheapest.
- Hotels: book four or more weeks ahead for weekends, with free cancellation.
- Attractions: Snoopy Garden, Arte Museum and 9.81 Park are easiest with a dated ticket; check 9.81 Park’s wind policy.
- Before you fly: a T-money card, Naver Map or KakaoMap, and a windbreaker.
FAQ
Can I still see pampas grass in November?
Yes. Saebyeol Oreum is usually at its best from mid-October to mid-November. In late November the colour turns more brown, but the ridge landscape is still worth the walk.
When do the camellias bloom?
At Camellia Hill the winter camellias begin in mid-November and peak in December. A late-November visit is enough for good photos.
Can I do this itinerary without a car?
Mostly. Express buses connect Seongsan, Aewol and Seogwipo, but limit yourself to two main stops per day. Use a taxi or a tour for Saebyeol Oreum and 1100 Highland.
What should I wear?
An autumn jacket is fine in daytime, but the wind makes it feel colder. A windbreaker and a thin scarf are enough for the hills and beaches.
Which days suit children?
Days 1 and 2: Snoopy Garden, 9.81 Park and Arte Museum.
The short version
East, northwest, southwest, then Seogwipo. Book flights and hotels first, add dated tickets after, and keep the evenings indoors. November gives you pampas grass and the first camellias in the same week, at lower prices than October.
