Luggage Storage in Seoul 2026: Subway Lockers, Station Counters and Delivery

The problem always shows up at the same moment. Your flight lands at 7 in the morning, your hotel check-in is at 3 in the afternoon, and you are standing on a Seoul subway platform with a 28-inch suitcase and eight hours to fill. Or the reverse: you checked out at 11, your flight is at 9 at night, and the city is right there.
Seoul is good at this. There are lockers in most subway stations, staffed counters in the big stations, shops that hold bags through apps, and companies that will carry your suitcase to the airport or your next hotel. The trick is picking the right one before you drag the bag across town.
Checked on October 21, 2026. Prices come from station listings and booking sites on that date and change often. Treat them as a guide and check the screen or the app before you pay.

Your options at a glance

Subway coin lockers
Most Seoul subway stations, and almost all the busy ones, have banks of lockers near the ticket gates. They come in small, medium and large. A small one fits a backpack; a large one fits a medium suitcase, but rarely a big 28-inch case.
You pay at the touch screen, usually by card or T-money, and you get a code or a receipt to open it later. The screen has an English option. Cost depends on size and time; a few hours in a small locker is a few thousand won.
Two things go wrong. First, large lockers at stations like Myeongdong, Hongik University and Seoul Station fill up by late morning. Second, people forget which exit they used. Take a photo of the locker number and the nearest exit sign.
If you do not have a T-money card yet, our T-money guide covers where to buy one.
Seoul Station and the big stations
Seoul Station is where most visitors end up with bags: the AREX train to Incheon Airport starts here, and so do the KTX trains to Busan and the rest of the country. Besides lockers, there are staffed storage counters that take large suitcases and keep them all day. A 2026 listing put one of these at about 1,000 won an hour, open 24 hours; others close in the evening.
If you are heading to the airport later, Seoul Station is the best place to leave bags. You pick them up and walk straight to the AREX platform. Our Incheon Airport to Seoul guide compares the express and all-stop trains.
Storage apps and shops
In the tourist areas, cafes, convenience stores and small shops store bags through storage apps. You book in the app, drop the bag, and show the booking when you collect it. Prices start at about 4,000 won a bag per day.
The upside: there are many of them near Myeongdong, Hongdae and Insadong, and they take any size. The downside: security varies. Some shops keep bags behind the counter; others leave them in a corner with a camera. Read recent reviews, and do not leave a laptop or passport in the bag.
There are also dedicated storage points listed on Trip.com, for example one by Myeongdong Station that is open daily.
Your hotel
The cheapest option is usually free. Almost every hotel in Seoul will hold bags before check-in and after checkout. Ask the day before, and ask until what time. Guesthouses and small apartments sometimes cannot, and that is when lockers or apps make sense.
Luggage delivery
This is the option most visitors do not know about. Delivery services pick up a suitcase from the airport or your hotel and drop it at your next hotel the same day, so you travel with just a day bag. It is useful if you land early and want to go straight into the city, or if you are moving from Seoul to another city and stopping on the way.
Book ahead, check the cut-off time for same-day delivery, and make sure your hotel knows a bag is coming.
Which one to choose

At Incheon Airport itself, there are staffed baggage storage counters in the arrivals area. They are handy for a long layover, but expensive for a full day compared with storing in the city.
Before you go
Wherever you store a bag, you will need your phone to find the place: the subway exits and small shops are listed properly on Naver Map and KakaoMap, not on Google Maps. A Korean eSIM sorts that out from the moment you land.
